Moon Manifestation Series Part 4: Working With the Full Moon
Hello, Magical Babes!
Welcome to the peak energy moon phase! If anything has been building, now is the time it will come to a head. This December's full moon is in Gemini - but there's a catch. Gemini's ruling planet, Mercury, goes Retrograde (I know, I know) during this full moon. Be careful with this potentially tricky energy. Now is a great time for clear communication, but not for the solidification of plans or closure of contracts. However, expect to see a sign, big or small, from your manifestation at this time! Be on the lookout for synchronicity in your life - usually, something totally random will pass my mind and I will see it later, I will just know where something odd is, or I will see 11:11 and 1:11. These are signs that you are in the flow.
How have you been feeling since Saturday? Some of my full moon observations: My baby is sleeping so poorly, I'm seeing so many dogs on the road away from their home, and I'm watching my manifestation for abundance just flourish. I have been working on my mantras and positive thoughts and keeping a high vibe. I have lit candles and I am finding myself really looking forward to my daily yoga sessions.
The full moon is a time to release what no longer serves you. So many people lay down in bed, try their hardest to sleep, and just can't because their mind is running a mile a minute. Of course, it's recommended that those people write down these thoughts, unstick them from the repetitive "gotta remember, can't forget" loop of their mind, and down on paper. This mental release allows them to rest. What are the negative thoughts that keep popping up in your head and just won't go away? They may have been there for years. You probably don't talk to anyone about them. The mental release above extends to the negative thoughts you have on replay in your mind. Write it down, how you honestly feel, and release what is dragging you down. You have to let it out of your mind to heal it. You can burn this piece of paper ceremoniously. Release. By releasing these chips off of your heart, you are opening yourself more to receiving and healing.
After you release, bring positivity back into your mind by jotting down 20 quick things you're grateful for as you run your tub for a full moon bath (I try to take baths as opposed to showers on New and Full moons). For your bath, drop in whatever you are called to. Consider flower petals, essential oils, Epsom salt, oatmeal, apple cider vinegar, teas, etc. Try to correspond your bath adornments with your intent. Place crystals at the corners of your tub, again, choosing based on your intent. You could play relaxing music at this time, meditate, mantra, focus on your goal and your achievements thus far, your next steps, etc.
Before you go to bed, don't forget to cleanse your crystals (I like to use a smudging spray), gather them up, and charge them in the full moonlight! You can set them outside or inside in your window, just be sure to bring them back before the sunlight hits.
Use this abundant full moon energy to work hard toward your goals. Utilize the magic of the full moon to, at the very least, practice self-care. Things should be falling into place now - and if they're not, reevaluate your stance and see where things are falling to. What message are you receiving right now?

Moon Manifestation Series Part 4: Working With the Waxing Gibbous Moon
Hello, Magical Babes! The moon is moving further along, now in its 4th phase, the Waxing Gibbous phase. I am feeling some awesome effects from this month's moon manifestation, and I'm sure you are too! Be sure to express your gratitude, before moving into a few new practices for this phase of the moon. The Waxing Gibbous Moon is the phase right before a full moon - we are so close to peak energy! If the moon phases were a play, this would be the dress rehearsal before opening night. You want to take this time before the big show to work on the details and perfect what you can. The full Moon comes with a huge jolt of energy, and you want to be prepared!
I also take this time to align myself, to prepare myself for and call in my intent. We have blown past your very first "I wish" statement, we are past "I will," past "I want", we are now to "I have". I used to never speak my manifestations in the present tense, as I thought it would jinx me. But living your life in as much alignment with your wish as possible can only magnetize your manifestation to you more!
Now is the time to journal and speak out your mantra (maybe while meditating, doing yoga, or even as you buzz around the house this evening) in "I am" and "I have" terms. You can stay simple in these mantras, or add in your gratefulness to the universe.
Hello, magical manifesters! Today, we're moving to phase 3 of Lady Luna, the First Quarter Moon. The moon will look half full in this phase.
This moon phase is associated with the early morning (fun fact: I woke up and stayed up at 4AM this past first quarter Moon and it was the best, most productive day I have had in so long!)
You may also be feeling the energy intensify around you as the moon is building, getting closer and closer to full. The carefully-placed steps right after the spark of beginnings from the waxing crescent Moon is gone - the first quarter Moon has strong roots and knows how steadily it is growing.
Be sure to look up at the moon daily and to be tracking your natural responses to the moon cycles in a journal. It may be even more important to journal during a "middle" phase. Keep expressing your gratitude, and write about what you're calling into you. Feel it, feel how badly you want it, and feel the win you will feel when you receive it! Stay open to abundance, and write often as a form of working on your manifestation.
Confidence is a major vibe in first quarter Moons - have you solidified any plans lately? You should easily overcome obstacles at this time and you may feel like you're on top of your game and on a roll! Your vision may be coming to life - things are happening for you and it feels good. Continue working strongly toward your goal, because now is not the time to take these wins and then slack off - use this as momentum to go, go go!

Welcome to part 2 of my New Moon Manifestation Series! Today's post will be about carrying your New Moon Wish (Wish, Manifestation, Goal, Intention, Tomato, Tomah-to) throughout the month onto literally phase 2: The Waxing Crescent phase of the moon.
This phase of the moon is a yang phase, or action phase. You've rested up, planted the seeds of your desire, and when you can finally see the first tiny sliver of the crescent moon, it's now time to get to work in the garden!
The Waxing Crescent phase of the moon is the moon's first, hardworking jump towards fullness. This time promises positivity and opportunity (Hint: Waxing moons are a time to call things in, and an electric time for making new connections). Be expectant of potential new beginnings. I like to carry a Green Aventurine with me during these days for luck and opportunity!
How are you naturally feeling at this time? New Moons are a very introspective time for me and I begin to open up a bit by Waxing Crescent time. Usually, I speak very little on New Moon days, am not very hungry, and am very moody. As the month unfolds, I slowly become more social and energetic. I used to think these were just odd moods I went through every once in a while until I saw a clear pattern when tracking the moon. I now can anticipate these moody times and can give myself some extra love.
What are some concrete steps you can take towards your manifestation, or some opportunities you see arising? These thoughts may just come to you - To encourage this, you can verbally yourself to receiving. Use this action time to begin your journey - something will be pulling at you. Bring new energies and opportunities to your life. This is the time that the moon is building, so following suit will put you in the flow!

Welcome + New Moon Manifestation Series
Hello, magical babes!
Welcome to Skinny Mystic, a magical lifestyle and new age spirituality blog, where I am excited to document the mystical places my spiritual journey takes me. I am so excited about this new venture - a little nervous but mostly excited because this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. I've had so much undeniable synchronicity in my life lately and so many thoughts that have stuck for what I know are big reasons - this blog is one of them!
I have so much I want to share - Let's jump right into my first post!

Ah, the crisp feeling of New Moon energy. If we are open to receive, we have the opportunity for new beginnings and fresh slates on a monthly basis - this is so exciting to me! Now is the time to deep clean and cleanse your space (Pay attention to how you feel. You may be naturally inclined to clean during this time!), for a face mask and a super serene bath, and to just stay in and rest up. This is an introspective time.
You may have heard of working with the moon - if you're new to this, I recommend checking out Moonology and Lunar Abundance. When we work in tune with the cycle of the moon, we are working with the flow of the Universe. You know the feeling of being in the flow - you make it to all of your appointments on time, you aren't forgetful or unpleasantly surprised, you have no trouble finding all the right things to say. And when you're out of the flow, well, when it rains, it pours, and these are the times you find yourself asking what else can possibly go wrong (Tip for your next bad day, don't speak more bleh into the Universe. She will accept your challenge. Instead, make a mental gratefulness list and try your hardest to create your own good vibes to get to multiplying).
Working towards our goals intertwined with the moon's cycle offers us time to plan, time to act, time to rest, and time to release. I'm excited to follow the moon and cover this process throughout the month. Let's get to part one: the planning phase.
I recommend very super first, that you do your New Moon wishing the night before a new moon rather than after (some official moon rises happen at 6AM or 3PM - anytime). I also recommend checking to see what sign the moon is in, to see what areas you'll have an astrological upper hand in. It's a goal to share Moon updates on the site, but for now, I recommend Moonology for easily digestible daily moon info.
I. Step one of making your New Moon wish is to write down an abundance of things you are grateful for. Write until your hand hurts. I have a specific gratitude journal that I use only for this. You're opening your heart, and gratitude is a lovely vibe-raiser that makes you ready to receiving and see the beauty in what you receive. Think of this as an easy way to radiate good karma.
II. Make a list of achievable intentions for this month. It was more natural for me to do this list on the numerical first of the month, but now that I am trying to align myself as much as possible, the New Moon is the ideal time for me to do this now. Take time on this list, use fun colors and your own designs - the more time you spend on this, the more magic you give it!
III. Give yourself an overall big goal for the month. This is your New Moon wish! You can be inspired by the tone of your intentions - Do you want to focus on family, domestic duties, work, finances, passion projects, et cetra? Or do you want to use this energy to open yourself up to the broadness of wisdom, new opportunity, and abundance?
VI. Let your wish be known. Say it, preferably in a ritualistic bath or the moonlight. Add what feels right, like crystals, candles, specific colors, or gentle music. Feel this wish being granted. The joy it will bring you. You can say affirmations like I accept, I am deserving of, and I am excited to recieve.
IV. You will know when it is time to release this wish, and I recommend releasing it with something like I release this wish with the intent of my highest good.
Use the rest of this New Moon energy to relax, but be receptive. Prepare for your wish to be granted! Spend the coming time doing lots of journaling and being mindful. Watch the thoughts that won't pass, opportunities for meetings and to share ideas, take note of your daily moods and inclinations, and also what phase the moon is in.
The next installation of this series will be all about working with your intentions when the moon is in the Waxing phase, and will be posted soon!
Until next time,
